Frequently asked questions
Are the pages really free?
Yes. Every page on this site is a free PDF for personal and classroom use. No sign-up, no email.
What do the numbers and letters mean?
Each code (for example 3 or K) stands for one color in the key under the grid. Fill each square with the color of its code.
What are the black squares?
They are details such as eyes and outlines and are already printed in black, so you can skip them.
What paper size are the PDFs?
US Letter (8.5×11 in). Choose "Fit to page" to print on A4.
What should I color with?
Markers, colored pencils or gel pens all work. See our guide to markers and pencils for the pros and cons.
Where is the answer?
Page 2 of every PDF shows the finished picture in color. You can also press "Finished picture" on each page.
How is the book different from the free pages?
The free pages are simplified versions on white paper. The book has 77 bigger, more detailed pictures on a black background with a 21-color palette.
Can I share the pages?
Please share a link to the page (or pin it) instead of the PDF file. Do not resell or upload the files elsewhere.
Can teachers use them in class?
Yes, you can print copies for your own classroom.
Were AI tools used?
Yes. The original illustrations were made with the help of AI tools and then converted into numbered pixel grids and edited by hand.
Will there be more pages?
